On Tuesday July 12th, the information meeting for the Lumièretoren took place in the Theatercafé of the Oude Luxor Theater. Visitors were given a unique insight into the plans for the Lumière Tower, in the middle of the bustling centre of Rotterdam.

Information market

During the information market, VORM, Manhave Vastgoed, KAAN Architecten, LOLA Landscape Architects presented the design vision of the architect and the plans of the developers in collaboration with the Municipality of Rotterdam.

Both local residents and people outside of it attended the information meeting. They were able to view the renders by Vivid Vision and the model of the Lumière Tower in the theater café. In addition, there were information boards present with, among other things, the layout of the building and the planning and activities for the project. There was ample opportunity to talk to the initiators.

Visitor Diane: "I really came out of interest. I currently live around the corner from here, but I think it would be fantastic to live in a building like Lumière in the future."

Opportunity to ask questions

There was, of course, ample opportunity to talk to the initiators. The visitors made good use of this and posed interesting questions. For example, people were interested in the exact height of the Lumière Tower, the wind plan and the programming in the building.

Some wanted to know how to register for a residence in the tower. Visitor Diane: "I really came out of interest. I currently live around the corner from here, but I think it would be fantastic to live in a building like Lumière in the future."

A new Rotterdam icon

Lumière is set to become a new icon of international allure for Rotterdam’s city centre. A unique location; a seamless convergence of living, working, shopping and entertainment. Expect a feeling of ample light and space, green roof terraces, all-round balconies, a high-quality mix of facilities, an abundance of greenery and social interaction between residents and visitors.

Construction of Lumière is expected to begin in 2025.

The pivot between metropolitan ambition, monumental value, living-work environment, and recreational atmosphere.
